Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi states he has never met late talent manager Disha Salian or politician Aaditya Thackeray, despite facing continuous online abuse and death threats over the case. His remarks follow a Bombay High Court order directing the Central Bureau of Investigation to look into Disha's death from June 2020. Disha fell from a building in Mumbai's Malad area, working briefly as a manager for late actor Sushant Singh Rajput before her death, which Mumbai Police initially treated as an accident. Following a petition by her father, Satish Salian, the court ordered a CBI probe and registration of an FIR on September 2, 2026, while noting no person should be called an accused without proof. Sooraj says he refuses to stay quiet while trying to rebuild his career, noting he has already lost years of his life to false associations. He believes much of the current hatred stems from political or personal issues some people hold against his family members, urging critics not to make him pay for those disputes. The actor declares he has no political ties or personal grudges, and invites investigators to thoroughly probe the matter. He adds that if any proof links him to the incident, he is ready to face legal punishment, but asks authorities and the media to clear his name loudly if the probe finds him innocent.
