Hunter Biden Signs With Talent Agency CAA to Manage New Ventures

Talent Deal

Talent agency CAA has signed a deal to represent Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden. The agreement could help the former attorney and current painter find new ways to promote himself and tell stories across different ventures. CAA has a long history with the Biden family. The agency previously represented President Joseph Biden between 2017 and 2020, and announced another agreement to represent him in 2025.

Art and Career

Hunter Biden works mainly as an artist creating abstract, mixed-media pieces from his studio in Los Angeles. His art explores themes like memory, transformation, and the natural world using bold colors and layered textures. Before focusing on art, he worked in investing and lobbying, and served as an advisor to his father. His life has also included legal struggles, including a federal investigation into his taxes and gun possession. President Biden pardoned his son in early 2024 before leaving office. In 2026, he launched a cryptocurrency meme coin called $LAPTOP.

Writing and Recovery

He has spoken openly about his past struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. In 2021, he published a memoir titled "Beautiful Things" to detail his path to sobriety and advocate for better support and understanding around addiction treatment. In 2026, he started a Substack column named "Where's Hunter." Through this column, he writes about art, shares memoir-style essays, and reflects further on his recovery journey.

Context

Major talent agencies like CAA typically help public figures, artists, and writers secure commercial partnerships, media appearances, and book or storytelling deals. While Hunter Biden is best known in connection to his family's political background and various public controversies, this new representation focuses squarely on his creative projects and personal storytelling ventures.
