Expansion Plans
Tan, who leads Walden International, pointed to the Indian firm's in-house engineering and intellectual property as key reasons for his backing. Ultraviolette currently sells vehicles in India and 20 European nations, and plans to enter the United States market in 2027. The company also aims to expand into Latin America and Southeast Asia.
New Products
The TVS Motor-backed manufacturer builds its own battery systems, power electronics, and software. The fresh money will help scale production of the F77 and X-47 electric motorcycles, alongside the upcoming Tesseract scooter and Shockwave enduro motorcycle. Yali Capital founding managing partner Ganapathy Subramaniam noted an early 2027 launch for the scooter, and pointed out the radar safety features on the X-47.
Manufacturing Push
To support higher volumes, Ultraviolette plans to invest 779 crore rupees in a new manufacturing plant designed to reach an annual capacity of five lakh units. Founders Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan stated that the capital will help scale production, speed up new platform development, and strengthen global operations.
