Alia Bhatt debuts bold cabaret look in upcoming movie Love and War

First Look Revealed

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has released the first-look poster of Alia Bhatt for his upcoming movie Love and War. The poster shows Alia wearing a bright magenta-red outfit with an elaborate headpiece, crop top and a skirt with a high slit. The style points to a dance sequence, set against a smoky background with deep red and gold colours. The production team shared the poster with a social media message confirming the release date as January 21, 2027.

Cast and Background

This poster release comes just a day after the makers shared the first look of Ranbir Kapoor, who appears in a vintage car wearing a white T-shirt with a bruised and bloodied hand. The movie brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. This project reunites Ranbir with Bhansali almost twenty years after their work together on Saawariya, while Alia teams up with the director again following Gangubai Kathiawadi. Ranbir and Vicky previously worked together in Sanju, and Alia and Vicky shared screen space in Raazi.

Release Plans

While the plot is mostly secret, reports describe the movie as a period romantic war drama where Ranbir and Vicky reportedly play Indian Air Force officers whose lives connect with Alia's character. Written by Sanjay and Ila Bedi Dutta, the cast also includes Supriya Pathak. After some changes to its schedule, the film will release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
