Mumbai Civic Body Stops Work at Actor Ajay Devgn's Juhu Bungalow Over Spa Plans

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has ordered a halt to ongoing construction at actor Ajay Devgn's Juhu property following an objection from the local housing society. The civic administration served the stop-work notice for the 7,802 square foot bungalow after checking complaints regarding a proposed salon and spa at the site.

The Dispute

The K-West ward office stepped in after the Kapol Co-operative Housing Society raised concerns about running a commercial business in the residential area. Local corporator Sudha Singh stated that officials acted because valid permits for commercial use were not shown during inspection. Residents living nearby worry that a business will bring heavy customer traffic, parking troubles, safety risks, and extra noise to their quiet internal lanes.

The Response

The Devgn family has asked for four weeks to submit their reply to the municipal authorities. However, representatives for the actor strongly disagree with the claims that paperwork is missing. A source close to the actor maintained that all necessary clearances and official approvals for the planned activities on the premises have already been secured.
