Tata Motors has introduced a brand new model called the Aeris, which builds upon the foundation of the outgoing Tigor compact sedan with fresh sheet metal work, new features, and a completely redesigned cabin.
Key Upgrades
Front seat ventilation comes built into the Aeris, making it the only vehicle in its segment to offer this addition. Safety gets a major push with six airbags provided as standard equipment across all variants, a step up from the dual airbags found in the Tigor. The car also includes a built-in dashcam function that uses the existing surround-view cameras to capture exterior surroundings without requiring an extra accessory. Cabin comfort improves through leatherette seat upholstery replacing the older fabric material, alongside extended under-thigh support on the front seats designed to reduce fatigue on long journeys. Daily convenience gets an upgrade with a new wireless phone charger for compatible smartphones. Finally, the Aeris brings connected car technology featuring over 35 functions operated through the smartphone app named 'iRA', allowing users to lock or unlock doors, check fuel levels, turn on valet mode, set up geo-fencing, and track the vehicle location.
