Tata Motors has introduced the new Aeris to replace the Tigor as its compact sedan model in the market. The vehicle comes with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 5.29 lakh and is sold across five different trim levels named Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished. Buyers can choose between petrol and CNG engine options, which are connected to either a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission, known as AMT.

Engine and Colors

The car runs on a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that puts out 86 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The CNG variant uses the same basic engine, but output drops to 75.5 horsepower and 96.5 Nm when running on CNG. For the CNG version, Tata uses a twin-cylinder setup placed under the boot floor to keep luggage space practical. The car is available in six exterior paint shades which are Dandeli Drizzle, Dune Glow, Nitro Crimson, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White. A dual-tone look with a black roof is offered on the Creative and Accomplished trims.

Trims and Pricing

The base Smart trim is priced from Rs 5.29 lakh for petrol manual and goes up to Rs 6.29 lakh for the CNG manual. The Pure and Pure+ trims span between Rs 6.14 lakh and Rs 8.29 lakh depending on the fuel and gearbox choice. Higher up, the Creative trim ranges from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 9.04 lakh, while the top-end Accomplished variant costs between Rs 8.19 lakh and Rs 9.74 lakh. Safety kit across the range includes six airbags, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and electronic stability control.

Variant Advice

Industry advice suggests that the Creative trim provides the best mix of cost and features for most buyers without needing to spend on the highest model. For those with strict spending limits, the Pure+ trim serves as a good alternative choice.
