Actor Nani's recent action movie The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, has drawn a one-star rating and a sharp review from Gautam Ghattamaneni, son of actor Mahesh Babu. The film, which has Kayadu Lohar as the female lead alongside Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal, and Sonali Kulkarni in key roles, focuses on the struggle of the Savari tribe for survival and identity. Excessive violence kept many viewers away during its theatrical run, leading to a mixed box office performance.

OTT Release

The movie is now streaming on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The OTT version has a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is 24 minutes shorter than the 2 hours and 54 minutes theatrical cut. The team trimmed violent scenes and slow portions to make the film more suitable for family audiences.

The Review

Gautam Ghattamaneni, known to be a big fan of Nani's earlier film Jersey, watched The Paradise on OTT and shared his thoughts online. While he liked the cinematography and the acting in the emotional scenes, he stated that the rest of the movie disappointed him greatly and criticized the editing as very poor. He gave it just one star, marking the lowest rating he has ever given to a Nani film, which quickly became a talking point on social media. Gautam has linked his Letterboxd ID in his Instagram bio, where he shares ratings for his father's films and other movies.
