India's primary market faces a busy week as five firms launch initial public offerings to raise nearly 2,600 crore rupees between 26 October and 29 October. The upcoming public issues span alternative investments, environmental tech, polymer manufacturing, jewellery retail, and steel processing.
Key Offerings
EAAA India Alternatives leads the pack with a 1,200-crore-rupee offering running from 26 to 28 October, priced between 1,585 and 1,665 rupees per share. This issue is entirely an offer for sale by the Edelweiss Group, meaning the firm receives no proceeds from the share sale. SFC Environmental Technologies follows with a 667.53-crore-rupee issue opening from 27 to 29 October, featuring a price band of 313 to 330 rupees per share and combining a fresh issue with an offer for sale. BLS Polymers aims to raise 255 crore rupees through a fresh issue of shares available from 27 to 29 October at 142 to 150 rupees per share. M.K. Sons Fine Jewels launches a 275-crore-rupee public issue on 28 October closing on 30 October, with shares priced between 153 and 162 rupees. Finally, Bombay Coated and Special Steels opens a 183.1-crore-rupee offering on 29 October closing on 2 November, with a price band of 78 to 82 rupees per share.
Context
Companies typically launch initial public offerings to raise capital for business expansion, debt repayment, or to provide an exit for existing investors. Grey market premiums often fluctuate based on shifting market sentiment ahead of a company's stock market debut.
