Nagar, who secured the brand’s Indian rights after a trip to Spain, says the concept targets younger city consumers who want tasty desserts they can customize themselves. "In the context of India, we can observe a significant potential among urban young customers along with individuals aware of their health but at the same time wishing to have a fun dessert experience," she explained, noting that these customers prefer to build their own combos rather than buy ready‑made treats. The menu offers fruit‑based bowls with kiwi, blueberry, strawberry and nuts, as well as richer options loaded with Nutella, Oreo or Snickers. New drinks include an Ambrosia Smoothie of banana, strawberry and natural yoghurt ice‑cream and a Fashion Smoothie where shoppers pick a base and two toppings. "While taste remains an important aspect, attributes like lower fat, fibre, protein, lower sugar, prebiotics and plant‑based options are becoming increasingly significant," Nagar said, stressing the brand’s aim to fuse health and pleasure. She added that improving cold‑chain logistics and modern retail outlets will help expand distribution beyond major metros. "Smöoy sees a lot of promise in India due to the developments in its premium dessert sector," she noted, highlighting growing consumer openness to quality, personalization and uniqueness.
