Fantasy Film The Vvaan Crosses 19 Crore Rupees in Two Days

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's new folk-fantasy supernatural thriller, The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest, has crossed 19 crore rupees in total net collections across India by its second day in theatres. The movie released on Friday to mixed reviews and earned 8 crore rupees on its opening day. It then brought in 11 crore rupees on Saturday, according to updates from Sacnilk.

Box Office Clash and Cast

The film faced a box office clash with the re-release of Avengers: Endgame. Even with this competition, its earnings beat the last three theatrical releases of Sidharth Malhotra, which were Param Sundari, Yodha, and Thank God. The movie needs to stay steady over the coming days to become a clean hit. The main cast features Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, alongside supporting actors Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, Anup Soni, Maniesh Paul, Avtar Gill, Milind Gunaji, Sulabha Arya, Durgesh Kumar, Sundip Ved, and Akshaan Sehrawat.

Plot and Direction

The story follows Rishi, played by Sidharth Malhotra, and his wife Mamta, played by Tamannaah Bhatia, living in Mumbai. The couple struggles to conceive a child. Rishi's elder brother and sister-in-law, played by Anup Soni and Shweta Tiwari, urge them to return home for Chhath, which Rishi tries to avoid. Financial pressure eventually forces Rishi, Mamta, and their friend Ved, played by Maniesh Paul, to travel back so Rishi can sell his share of land for a road project through a sacred forest. Villagers strongly oppose disturbing the holy land, but Rishi goes ahead, triggering a supernatural chain of events. Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar directed the film, which was produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures, and 11:11 Productions.
