Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 Launches New Song Ahead of October 15 Release

Rajinikanth’s sequel Jailer 2 will hit Indian theatres on 15 October 2026, and today the makers dropped the lyrical video of its second song “One Sun, One Moon” on YouTube. The track honours the superstar’s legacy and shows fresh clips of Rajinikanth from the upcoming film. Composer Anirudh Ravichander teamed up with vocalist MS Krsna; the lyrics were penned by Heisenberg and Super Subu. Within minutes, fans flooded the comment section, with one writing “Goosebumps guaranteed” and another exclaiming “One SUN. One MOON. One ANIRUDH”. The first song “Ala Bolelo” had already created buzz, and the new video adds to the promotional push. Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, produced by Sun Pictures, and features Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Suraj Venjaramoodu alongside Rajinikanth. The film is being billed as one of the most‑anticipated releases of 2026. The excitement prompted fellow filmmaker Dhanush to postpone his own project, OM: Chapter 1, which was slated for 16 October, to avoid a clash. Dhanush posted on X that the decision was out of “immense respect” for Rajinikanth and cited scheduling challenges. He also noted that he will skip the Diwali celebrations because Suriya’s film shares the same release window, emphasizing industry goodwill and mutual respect.
