Built on a dedicated all-electric platform rather than a petrol or diesel base, the electric SUV features an 84mm longer wheelbase than the standard GLC and delivers 489 horsepower with 800Nm of torque.
Design and Performance
The exterior sports an upright grille with 942 lighting elements inspired by the classic W112 S-Class, flanked by a glowing three-pointed star and a 129-litre front trunk. Powered by dual permanently excited motors, the vehicle goes from 0 to 100 kph in 4.3 seconds. Mercedes claims a WLTP driving range of 715 kilometres, which translates to over 550 kilometres in real-world Indian conditions. Using a 330kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes, while AC home charging supports up to 22kW.
Interior and Features
Inside, the cabin features a massive 39-inch Hyperscreen spanning the dashboard, accompanied by open-pore wood trim and physical steering controls. Passenger safety and comfort are supported by nine airbags, electronic stability control, a full suite of ADAS features, a Burmester 4D sound system, and a nine-segment panoramic glass roof. The 570-litre boot provides generous luggage space, though it currently lacks a dedicated spot for a spare tyre.
