Allotment Details
Reliance's Jio Platforms is finalising its share allotment on Monday, October 26, following a three-day subscription period that drew strong demand from investors. Applicants can check their status through the official registrar KFin Technologies Ltd or directly on the BSE and NSE exchanges. Refunds for unsuccessful applicants begin on Tuesday, October 27, while successful applicants will receive shares in their demat accounts on the same day. The stock is scheduled to list on the exchanges on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Subscription and Market Response
The public offering was subscribed 22.19 times, with total bids across the public issue and anchor investor placement crossing 7.4 lakh crore rupees. The digital services company received nearly 1.39 crore applications. Excluding anchor investors, the public issue brought in bids worth over 4.9 lakh crore rupees, and retail bids crossed 25,867 rupees. The grey market premium stands at 247 rupees against an upper price band of 1,119 rupees per share, pointing to an estimated listing price of 1,366 rupees.
Context
Initial public offerings allow private companies to raise capital from the public by selling shares on stock exchanges for the first time. The grey market premium is an unofficial indicator that reflects market sentiment and potential listing gains before a stock officially starts trading. However, analysts note that these unofficial rates can fluctuate and do not guarantee the actual opening price on listing day.
