Fourteen people, including both climbers and support staff, remain missing following the disaster on the 7,126-metre mountain peak. Rishi Bhandari, who serves as the general secretary of the Expedition Operators Association Nepal, confirmed the incident. Two of the missing people worked with Imagine Nepal Pvt Ltd, while eight others belonged to Himalayan Holidays Nepal. Ram Krishna Lamichhane, the director general of Nepal's Department of Tourism, stated that government authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation and working to coordinate rescue operations. Officials had issued warnings about possible avalanches and flash floods starting from September 22 because of heavy snowfall and continuous rain in high-altitude areas. This disaster follows another recent avalanche that caused a flash flood in Rasuwa, leading to nearly 1,400 deaths.
