The 350cc Triumph Tracker 400 delivers forty horsepower at 8,750 rpm and 32 Newton-metres of peak torque at 7,500 rpm, sharing a higher state of tune with the Thruxton among Bajaj-made Triumph 400 models.

Acceleration And Speed

Instrumented tests show the Tracker hits 60 kilometres per hour in 3.05 seconds, 80 in 4.86 seconds, and 100 in 7.55 seconds. Its power delivery is linear, with the main power band arriving after 6,000 rpm and pulling clean to the redline. While the downsized 349cc engine needs higher revs for quick progress compared to the old 398cc version, it cruises comfortably in sixth gear between 90 and 100 kilometres per hour.

Braking And Specs

The motorcycle comes to a complete halt from 60 kilometres per hour in 16.75 metres. It features sintered brake pads and a kerb weight of 181 kilograms. Built with a 349cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, a six-speed gearbox, a 13-litre fuel tank, and an 805-millimetre seat height, it uses 300-millimetre front and 230-millimetre rear discs.

Price And Design

Priced at Rs 2.42 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi, the bike is sold in Aluminum Silver, Racing Yellow, and Phantom Black. It features a committed riding position for a street bike and neo-retro styling.

Context

Motorcycle performance tests provide buyers with objective data on acceleration and braking limits rather than relying solely on manufacturer claims. Lighter weights and specialized brake pads directly affect how quickly a vehicle can stop safely during sudden road emergencies.
