Emraan Hashmi to team up with Sajid Nadiadwala for untitled thriller, Randeep Hooda to join

Emraan Hashmi will join producer Sajid Nadiadwala for an untitled action thriller that will reunite him with Randeep Hooda. A source said Nadiadwala, one of the biggest producers in Indian cinema, met Hashmi and pitched a story that reflects Hashmi's resurgence. The producer is assembling a large ensemble, with Hooda among the first to sign on. The film is slated to go on floors in 2027 and aims for a release toward the end of next year. Hashmi is also preparing for the release of Gunmaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt and scored by Himesh Reshammiya, which is tracking well for a strong November opening. The new thriller follows his recent work on Awarapan 2 and shows he is not slowing down. ## Context The pairing of a leading actor with a top‑tier producer is a common strategy to boost a film's market pull. Reuniting on‑screen partners often draws audience interest, especially after a past hit like Jannat 2. Production timelines of two years from start to release are typical for big‑budget Indian action films.
