A mobile court held a hearing at the Baindwar Kala panchayat building in the Koraon area of Prayagraj, where judicial magistrate Abhay Deep Vishwakarma heard and resolved several pending cases. Assisting the magistrate were orderly Jagjeevan Maurya, steno Avneesh Mishra, clerk Sanjay Maurya, court mohrir Sunil Pal, and pairokar Hiramani, along with support from village panchayat officer Rajesh Patel and village head representative Devraj. Koraon police deployed a woman constable and other police personnel for security at the venue. This mobile court travels from village to village to settle cases pending since 1998, helping local residents save time and effort. Additionally, a mediation center is set to open at the Koraon gram nyayalaya starting October 3, 2026, to settle domestic violence cases and spare people from long travel.
Context
Mobile courts and local mediation centers are often set up in rural areas to bring justice closer to citizens and clear a large backlog of old cases. These local setups help reduce the heavy burden on regular court buildings while making legal remedies more accessible to people in smaller towns and villages.
