The winner of the thirty crore rupee Thiruvonam bumper lottery jackpot remains a mystery as various rumours and AI-generated images circulate online. The draw for the ticket numbered TL 360615 took place on Saturday afternoon at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, the headquarters of the state lottery department.
Sales Details
Kannur district lottery office originally bought the winning ticket from Muthu Agency in Chakkarakkallu and sold it to an agency in Taliparamba. Sub-agent M.V. Sujith, who runs an agency in Muyyam Vadakkanchery through P.V. Valsaraj at the Taliparamba bus stand, sold the ticket. Sujith had bought a total of thirty tickets but stated he does not remember who bought the winning ticket. Since most tickets were sold to locals, the agent believes the winner is likely from that area.
Context
Major lottery draws in Kerala routinely draw massive public interest and speculation due to the life-changing prize amounts involved. Authorities and agents typically wait for the actual ticket holder to present the physical counterfoil to claim the official prize money.
