Actor Sparsh Shrivastava has shared how classic Hindi cinema legends helped shape his character Bhugol in the upcoming second season of the web series Dupahiya. As his small-town character steps into a new phase of life and handles newfound fame, his personality mirrors several famous Bollywood icons.

Character Influences

Sparsh revealed that he consciously built his role using traits from multiple film stars. He pointed to Govinda as the direct inspiration for an emotional temple sequence shown in the trailer. The actor also incorporated elements from the movie Deewaar, dressed his character in Salman Khan's jacket from Maine Pyar Kiya, and drew from Madhuri Dixit for a traditional launda naach sequence.

Personal Memories

Filming the dance sequence triggered a strong personal memory for Sparsh. He recalled participating in a dance reality show back in 2010 where veteran choreographer Saroj Khan judged performances and handed out one hundred rupee notes for good acts. During the recent Dupahiya shoot, choreographer Kruti handed him a five hundred rupee note, which left him deeply emotional.
