School bosses, university heads, policy makers and tech creators are gathering in Mumbai on November 3 for a major two-day education conference.

The Event

The event is called EGN ConnectX India 2026 and is run by Education Growth Network India, a group of more than 10,000 teachers. The main theme of the gathering is reinventing learning and reshaping what is possible, with a focus on turning big policies into actual classroom habits.

Key Activities

Dolly Singh, who serves as vice president and chief executive officer at Education Growth Network India, pointed out that artificial intelligence is already part of school lessons from the third grade onward. She noted that the real challenge is making sure every teacher and school is ready for this shift, rather than just having the tech available. The two-day program features hands-on workshops for staff, business networking spaces, and government-industry roundtables. It also includes a special student arena featuring hackathons and pitch challenges.

Expert Views

Dr Revathi Srinivasan, who is the group dean and director of education at Singhania Group of Schools and will speak at the event, stated that digital tools in lessons are only as useful as the teachers operating them. She added that school heads need clear guidance on which products actually work and how to train their staff to use them properly.

Context

Artificial intelligence and modern digital tools are changing how classrooms operate across the country, raising questions about teacher training and curriculum updates. Bringing policy makers and school heads together helps bridge the gap between high-level government plans and daily classroom realities.
