Nearly 20,000 students from over 500 schools across 18 cities recently participated in a special educational initiative dedicated to the epic Ramayana. Titled Har Yug Mein Ram: A Conversation with Young Leaders, the event was organised by JioHotstar alongside the film's production team and the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship.

The Event and Student Interaction

The main gathering took place at the institute's headquarters in Mumbai, where roughly 150 student representatives joined face-to-face while others connected digitally from classrooms nationwide. Young attendees engaged directly with the film's team by posing questions about character choices, moral dilemmas, and central figures of the ancient text.

Cast and Producer Statements

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Rama, shared that the student exchange offered fresh insights into how modern youth interpret his role. Producer Namit Malhotra noted that bringing the narrative to cinemas must go hand in hand with helping younger audiences discover its underlying lessons. Director Nitesh Tiwari emphasized that the film focuses on the human emotions and decisions of its characters, while actor Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, discussed the deep bonds of duty and loyalty.

Release Details

The special discussion programme is set to stream exclusively on JioHotstar starting November 1. Meanwhile, the feature film Ramayana: Part One will arrive in theatres globally on November 5, 2026, across six languages and in IMAX 3D, before eventually becoming available on JioHotstar via on-demand purchase.

Context

Major film releases in India often use pre-launch digital specials and youth outreach programmes to build anticipation across multiple cities before hitting the silver screen. Large-scale cinematic adaptations of traditional epics rely on nationwide student engagements to connect classic cultural themes with contemporary viewers.
