Reality Series Alliance to Return for Second Season on Prime Video in January 2027

The reality streaming series Alliance will return for a second season on January 14, 2027, exclusively on Prime Video. Host Kunal Kemmu will return for the new season, which is produced by Banijay Asia as an Indian adaptation of a Dutch format created by John de Mol.

Background

Season 1 featured 16 celebrity contestants, known as Allies, who completed physical and mental tasks while managing shifting loyalties and alliances inside a mysterious headquarters run by 'The System'. The first season was Prime Video's first global daily reality series, airing new episodes every day at noon, and concluded with Mini Mathur emerging victorious.

Production Plans

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals for Prime Video India, stated that strong viewer response prompted the platform to bring the show back sooner than one year. Deepak Dhar, Founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, along with Group Chief Development Officer Mrinalini Jain, noted that Season 2 will feature higher stakes, sharper gameplay, an evolved 'System', and new ways to test contestant choices and relationships. Further details regarding the contestants and gameplay remain unannounced.
