Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has teamed up with Puerto Rican reggaeton star Daddy Yankee for a new cross-cultural track titled Pokito. Daddy Yankee is well known for hit songs like Gasolina and Despacito. The track runs for three minutes and fifty-seven seconds and mixes Punjabi lyrics with Spanish verses. Diljit starts the song with Punjabi lines, and Daddy Yankee follows in his signature Latin style. The hook of the song is Poquito a poquito, which roughly means little by little. The music video has bright visuals and features both artists singing in their own styles and languages. In the video, Diljit wears his trademark turban along with different outfits such as a denim jacket and a traditional white set. Daddy Yankee appears in baseball jerseys, leather jackets, and sunglasses. Diljit shared a video of Pokito on his Instagram account with the caption stating the release connects India to Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico to India. Daddy Yankee shared a statement about the song, noting that the lyrics focus on hard work and discipline as part of self-love, and that he always believed Punjabi music and reggaeton would make a great match. This marks the latest in a series of global collaborations for Diljit Dosanjh. Over the past few years, he has worked with Australian pop star Sia, Hong Kong-based pop star Jackson Wang, Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin, American rapper Pitbull, and international DJ David Guetta. Meanwhile, Diljit is scheduled to perform at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. He posted an Instagram Story from the venue showing a large banner for his sold-out show on October 30, 2026. Following the Delhi concert, his tour heads to Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29, and Lucknow on December 5.
