Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal star in upcoming romantic thriller Tu Hai Meri Kiran

Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal return to the screen together in the upcoming romantic thriller Tu Hai Meri Kiran, which has released its first poster and set a theatrical release date of October 23, 2026. Karan Rawal wrote and directed the film, while Vishal Rana produced it under the banner of Echelon Productions.

Cast and Background

The new film features Sonakshi and Zaheer in the lead roles, marking another on-screen collaboration for the pair following their work together in the movie Double XL and the 2022 music video Blockbuster. The couple married in June 2024 after knowing each other for several years and making their relationship public prior to the wedding. Outside of this project, Sonakshi recently played a lawyer in the Prime Video film System, and Zaheer last appeared in the movie Ruslaan.

Title and Story Details

The movie takes its name from a popular song tied to the classic romantic thriller Darr, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Sunny Deol, though the new film maintains a completely distinct story and treatment. The newly released poster highlights a mix of romance, mystery, and suspense while keeping the main plot details hidden.

Context

Movie posters and first-look announcements are standard promotional steps in the film industry used to build audience interest well in advance of a theatrical release. Romantic thrillers combine traditional love story elements with suspenseful plots to create tension, a genre style seen in several popular Hindi cinema releases over the decades.
