Delhi, Oct 30 – Singer‑actor Diljit Dosanjh opened his AURA India Tour 2026 with a live show in the capital. After the performance he went on Instagram Live to discuss the tour, recent controversies and future plans. He said he had tried to arrange a concert in Bihar last year but the authorities asked him to assume full responsibility for crowd control. He declined, noting that managing thousands of fans is as demanding as organizing a major event in Delhi, and without the officials taking charge the show could not happen. The Delhi concert faced a last‑minute hurdle when the police initially refused permission, citing security concerns and festive‑season law‑and‑order duties. Dosanjh mentioned that many tried to block the event, but it went ahead thanks to the cooperation of Delhi Police and the CRPF, whom he praised during the live session. Looking ahead, the artist listed the next stops of the AURA India Tour: Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Indore. He also responded to critics, saying negative media coverage will not deter him after a 25‑year career in music and film.

Context

Large‑scale concerts in India often require local authorities to manage crowd safety, especially in states where past events have faced security challenges. Without official backing, artists may cancel shows to avoid risks.
