Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 crosses Rs 790 crore worldwide at box office

Actor Rajinikanth's action film Jailer 2 earned Rs 9.35 crore net on its seventeenth day, marking a nearly seventy percent jump from Friday's collection of Rs 5.50 crore. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the Saturday surge pushed the film's total India net collection to Rs 444.75 crore and its India gross collection to Rs 520.35 crore. Worldwide, the movie has crossed the Rs 790.85 crore mark. The Tamil version led the collections with Rs 6.70 crore from 4,199 shows on Day 17. The Hindi version brought in Rs 1.45 crore, the Telugu version earned Rs 90 lakh, and the Kannada version added Rs 30 lakh.

Cast and Crew

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the film features music by Anirudh Ravichander. Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The star-studded cast includes SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, and Yogi Babu, alongside special appearances by Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, and Hrithik Roshan.

Box Office Outlook

Fans are now watching to see if the film can become the first Tamil release to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club. However, reaching that milestone could prove difficult due to competition from Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, which is slated to release on November 5.
