Diljit Dosanjh Reveals Why Bihar Concert Was Cancelled and Opens Up on Delhi Show Hurdles

Singer Diljit Dosanjh recently revealed that his team attempted to bring his tour to Bihar, but the plans fell through because authorities asked him to take personal responsibility for crowd management. During an Instagram Live session following his Delhi concert, Diljit explained that managing such a massive gathering requires major logistical planning similar to an event in the capital, making it impossible for him to shoulder that accountability.

Delhi Hurdles

Diljit kicked off the India leg of his global AURA Tour with an October 30 performance at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. That show faced early uncertainty when Delhi Police initially denied permission due to security concerns and festive law-and-order commitments, before finally clearing the event after organisers agreed to extra crowd-safety steps. During his live session, Diljit alleged that numerous people tried to stop the Delhi concert and stated that problems always seem to surface specifically when his India shows begin.

Future Stops

Despite the initial setbacks, Diljit praised both the Delhi Police and the CRPF for helping make the performance happen. He also pushed back against critics, declaring that he has worked in the industry for 25 years and will only stop when he chooses to. His ongoing tour schedule includes upcoming performances in Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29, Lucknow on December 5, Chandigarh on December 12, and Kolkata on December 19.

Context

Large-scale music concerts frequently require extensive security clearances and local administrative support, especially in high-capacity stadiums. Major live entertainment tours involve complex logistics and coordination between private event organisers and municipal law enforcement agencies.
