Earnings Breakdown
Reliance Industries reported strong year-on-year growth in consolidated revenue, EBITDA, and net profit for the quarter ending September 2026. Avinash Gorakshkar, Founder of Avinash Mentor Research, states this recovery was driven by the Oil-to-Chemicals EBITDA, which grew about 70 percent year-on-year to around 25,200 crore rupees. Meanwhile, Jio Platforms posted year-on-year growth in revenue, EBITDA, and net profit, supported by subscriber additions that pushed its total user base to 542.4 million users. This user count includes 300 million 5G users and 30 million fixed-broadband homes, while its Average Revenue Per User climbed to 218.8 rupees. Jio Platforms' consolidated revenue grew 11.30 percent year-on-year to 47,485 crore rupees, and net profit rose 16.60 percent year-on-year to 21,879 crore rupees.
Market Outlook
Analysts view Jio Platforms as a top fundamental buy, while Reliance Industries serves as a defensive value play and Jio Financial Services acts as a fintech compounding machine. Jio Platforms' net debt also decreased to 8,800 crore rupees following its initial public offering launch.
Context
Major business groups often house distinct business verticals in separate listed entities to let investors target specific sectors like telecom, energy, or financial services. Share prices of major conglomerates naturally fluctuate based on quarterly earnings reports, sectoral demand recoveries, and broader stock market momentum.
