Medha Rana to Star Alongside Ahan Shetty in Upcoming Action Drama Sanki

Actor Medha Rana has officially signed on to play the female lead opposite Ahan Shetty in the upcoming action love story, Sanki. The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, who is known for his work on Rustom and Mission Raniganj.

Preparation And Role

Following the release of Border 2 in 2026, where she was cast opposite Varun Dhawan, Medha waited for the right project before choosing this film. Over the past two months, she has taken part in intense workshops and preparations for the role. She plays Ahan's love interest in a part that blends romance, intensity, and action, which required extensive physical prep.

Production And Release

Shooting for the film has already started in Bhopal, with Medha joining Ahan and the rest of the crew on location. Sanki is scheduled for release in 2027 and is produced by We The People, Roaring River Productions, and Pals & Peers Entertainment. The first look poster for the movie is expected to drop in the coming days.

Context

This project marks another collaboration for actors who share links to the recent Border 2 film cast. Ahan Shetty was previously paired with Anya Singh in that project and is also working with her in 1920: Cold Winter.
