Hero MotoCorp Reveals New Retro Motorcycle Concept at EICMA
Reported by Rohit Yadav (Staff Writer) · Rushlane ·
Hero MotoCorp has showcased a new classic motorcycle concept at EICMA 2026, pointing to a possible future rival for the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The concept features a rounded fuel tank, a circular headlamp with an H-shaped lighting signature, wire-spoke wheels, and deeply curved mudguards.
Design and Details
The motorcycle has a relaxed visual style with a broad, swept-back handlebar and a low-looking saddle. Its metallic blue bodywork is paired with polished metal surfaces, gold-coloured detailing, and ornate tank inserts with Hero branding. A brown strap runs down the centre of the tank to the brown seat, which features diamond-pattern stitching. Matching grips sit at the handlebar, while the round headlamp uses a gold-finished housing supported by sculpted brackets. A small circular tail lamp sits in the blue mudguard, and a compact circular display is placed ahead of the handlebar.
Mechanics and Powertrain
The engine area includes polished covers and gold-coloured fins, alongside a long, low-mounted exhaust on the right side. The concept also shows disc brakes at both ends and a chain final drive, though detailed chassis, suspension, and braking specifications are still awaited. Hero's newly unveiled Harley-Davidson X350T offers a potential powertrain route, but Hero has not confirmed if this concept uses that engine, nor has it announced displacement, power, torque, or gearbox details.
Market Context
Hero's Classic Concept joins adventure and scrambler models at the EICMA showcase, showing interest in a wider range of premium motorcycle styles. While a production model has not been confirmed, competitors like Honda's CB350 range, Jawa, and Yezdi already target buyers interested in traditional styling alongside market leader Royal Enfield.
Context
Retro-styled motorcycles remain a major focus in the Indian two-wheeler market as manufacturers try to capture buyers looking for traditional aesthetics combined with modern reliability. Entering this segment requires careful attention to engine character and pricing to challenge established market leaders.
