Concept Details

Hero MotoCorp has revealed a new Xpulse Scrambler concept ahead of its official EICMA 2026 presentation, following photographs shared by XtremeAnkit. The motorcycle features a red fuel tank with diagonal silver graphics, a red high-mounted front mudguard, silver side panels, gold-finished wheel rims, and an orange-and-grey seat. Distinctive Xpulse tank badges appear alongside "Scrambler Concept" lettering. Compared to the camouflaged Xpulse 421 adventure bike seen testing earlier, this version has minimal bodywork around the engine, leaving the frame, radiator, and mechanical parts exposed.

Styling and Hardware

The motorcycle includes a long single-piece seat, a short tail section, broad metal footpegs, and a wide handlebar. At the front, a rounded headlamp housing features an H-like lighting signature with two vertically arranged rectangular lighting elements inside a bright outline. A tall narrow tinted windscreen sits above the headlamp, accompanied by red-and-grey handguards and a small metal rack above the fuel tank. Hardware details visible in the images include upside-down front forks, substantial fork guards, gold-finished wire-spoke wheels, block-pattern tyres, a front disc brake with an ABS tone ring, a rear monoshock, an engine bash plate, and a large right-side exhaust with a silver heat shield.

Performance and Background

The exposed engine and large radiator point to a liquid-cooled powertrain built on the new 421cc platform under development. Hero previously previewed sketches at EICMA 2024 and tested the related adventure motorcycle at Khardung La in June 2026, which is expected to use a single-cylinder engine producing between 40 and 45 horsepower. A scrambler model would expand Hero's presence in the mid-capacity segment, though production plans, launch timing, pricing, and exact specifications such as wheel sizes, suspension travel, ground clearance, seat height, and kerb weight remain unannounced.

Context

Motorcycle manufacturers often use major international trade shows like EICMA to gauge public interest by displaying conceptual variations of upcoming platforms before final production models arrive. Exploring multiple body styles on a single shared engine platform allows companies to target different groups of buyers without the cost of developing entirely separate mechanical foundations from scratch. Hero MotoCorp continues to expand its footprint in larger engine segments beyond its traditional commuter and entry-level offerings.
