Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of ignoring farmers who face severe hardships due to a lack of water and power for farming. Mr. Rao spoke at a public meeting after a foot march from Shantinagar to Nirmal district headquarters for the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' programme, which BJP Legislature Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy led. BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal, along with other MPs and MLAs, also attended the event.
Official Statements And Warnings
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar stated that only Indian citizens have the right to choose the Prime Minister, MPs, and MLAs, and not people from Bangladesh or Pakistan. Mr. Sanjay claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi does not understand the Election Commission of India's ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. He warned that the Union government might think about using a National Register of Citizens if the Congress keeps up this style of politics. Mr. Maheshwar Reddy challenged the Chief Minister to resign and seek a fresh mandate from the public, accusing him of carrying money bags to Delhi.
