Actor and politician Khushbu Sundar has strongly condemned an artificial intelligence-generated inappropriate video featuring Devara: Part 1 actors Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor from the film song Chuttamalle. Sundar wrote on X that the digital violation and degradation of a woman is cruel, abusive, and deeply shameful. She stated that no woman should ever fear that technology can be weaponized to invade her dignity, reputation, and safety. She also called for legal accountability and punishment for those who create, share, promote, or amplify such content.

Reactions

The fake video digitally manipulated Janhvi Kapoor's appearance from the song to show her in a sexually explicit manner before it was widely circulated and eventually taken down. Jr NTR slammed the misuse of technology, calling it disgusting, sick, and shameless. Megastar Chiranjeevi stated he would take the matter up with the Telugu Film Chamber, the Producers' Council, and industry bodies to form a dedicated committee and support cell. This team is planned to work with Cyber Crime authorities to help affected individuals, remove such material, and pursue legal action against the culprits.

Film Details

Released in September 2024, Devara: Part 1 stars Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The popular song Chuttamalle from the film was composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Shilpa Rao.
