Birla Studios sets June 2027 release for inspirational film Ladaku starring Kartik Aaryan

Birla Studios has set June 18, 2027, as the worldwide theatrical release date for Ladaku, starring Kartik Aaryan and directed by Kabir Khan. The announcement was made today by the studio. Ladaku brings together Aaryan and Khan after their earlier collaboration on Chandu Champion, which earned praise during its awards run. The film is described as an inspiring story rooted in ambition, determination and hope, drawn from real‑life events. Production is being handled jointly by Birla Studios and Kabir Khan Entertainment, while Aaryan also steps in as a producer through his own banner Dopamine Studios. This marks his debut as a producer. Kabir Khan, a National Award‑winning director, previously helmed hits such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and 83, both of which highlighted perseverance and the human spirit. With Ladaku, he aims to tell another family‑oriented, emotional tale focused on resilience. The combination of Aaryan’s on‑screen role and off‑screen production duties, along with the reunion of the creative duo, has generated buzz ahead of the June release. ## Context The film adds to a recent trend of Bollywood projects based on true stories that emphasize hope and hard work, and it reflects the growing practice of actors launching personal production houses to expand their creative control.
