MG Motor will soon unveil the Windsor EV Indulge edition, a limited‑run model that adds fresh cosmetic touches and exclusive interior tech. The new version follows the September 2024 launch of the Windsor EV, which recently hit the 80,000‑unit sales milestone and recorded 3,300 sales in September 2026 to become India’s fourth‑best‑selling electric car. The Indulge edition introduces a gold‑inspired paint called "Shadow Gold" and 18‑inch blacked‑out alloy wheels, while exclusive "Indulge" badging appears on the rear quarter glass and likely on the front and rear panels. Exterior styling otherwise mirrors the standard model, with sharp lighting, a closed grille, large headlamp enclosures and a modest bumper with black inserts. The side profile retains circular wheel arches, smooth doors, flush handles and blacked‑out pillars; the rear keeps wraparound tail lamps, a raked windshield and a clean bumper. Inside, the black‑and‑ivory theme stays, but leatherette seats shift to an Urban Tan‑and‑Black dual‑tone scheme and feature Indulge badging on the headrests. The biggest interior upgrade is a roof‑mounted flip‑down "Prive Screen" for rear passengers, complemented by neck cushions for front occupants and pillows for those in the back. Core tech stays unchanged: an infinity‑view glass roof, 15.6‑inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over 80 connected functions, 9‑speaker Infinity audio, 256‑colour ambient lighting, PM2.5 filter, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, V2L and V2V charging, six airbags, ESP, 360° camera and Level‑2 ADAS. Powertrain options remain a 38 kWh battery (332 km range) or a 52.9 kWh pack (449 km range) driving a single front‑axle motor delivering 136 hp and 200 Nm. Pricing will be modestly above the standard model, with launch expected shortly.
Context
Limited‑edition EVs like the Indulge trim help manufacturers keep interest high as India’s electric‑vehicle market expands rapidly, offering buyers fresh styling cues and niche features without redesigning the entire model.
