Drishyam 3 has crossed the ₹300 crore mark in ten days, making it the biggest earner of Ajay Devgn’s career. The investigative thriller opened on September 27 with advance bookings worth ₹27 crore and collected ₹66.75 crore net on its first day, the third‑biggest opening ever for a Hindi film. Saturday’s earnings rose to ₹53.50 crore and Sunday peaked at ₹61 crore, giving the film a strong weekend start. A dip began on Monday with ₹21 crore, about 65.6 % lower than Sunday, followed by ₹19.50 crore on Tuesday and ₹15.50 crore on Wednesday. The film ended its first week with a total of ₹245.50 crore. The second weekend saw a rebound, earning ₹26.50 crore on Saturday and ₹23 crore on Sunday, pushing the cumulative total to ₹309.50 crore. This haul has already overtaken the lifetime earnings of Drishyam 2 and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, securing the top spot among Ajay Devgn’s releases. The movie brings back Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar and features Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Kamlesh Sawant, with Saurabh Shukla in a cameo. It is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, directed and co‑written by Abhishek Pathak together with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, and backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios. ## Context The rapid box‑office growth shows strong audience interest in concluding the Vijay Salgaonkar saga, and the film’s performance highlights the continued pull of franchise sequels in Indian cinema.
