Praise For Bollywood Version

Malayalam actor Mohanlal has praised the Ajay Devgn-led Hindi film Drishyam: The Conclusion, calling himself truly impressed with how the project ended. Mohanlal, who played the original lead character Georgekutty in director Jeethu Joseph's 2013 crime drama, congratulated director Abhishek Pathak, producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajay Devgn, and the entire cast in an online video.

Box Office And Cast

Drishyam 3 has grossed Rs 479.80 crore worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film of 2026, with an India nett collection of Rs 309 crore according to Sacnilk. The Hindustan Times notes its India gross collection has crossed Rs 370.80 crore. In comparison, the Malayalam version released in May earned Rs 239.83 crore globally with an India nett collection of Rs 110.49 crore. The Hindi edition features an original story rather than following the Malayalam plot, and stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and Ishita Dutta.

Context

Film remakes often spark fan debates over which regional version is superior, making cross-industry praise from original stars a notable moment for audiences. The Drishyam franchise has grown from a single 2013 Malayalam thriller into a major multi-language series with dedicated followings across the country.
