Box Office And Cast
Starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the film has grossed over Rs 479.80 crore worldwide. Its India nett collection stands at Rs 309 crore, while its total India gross has crossed Rs 370.80 crore. The cast also features Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Kamlesh Sawant, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav.
Different Storylines
Unlike the first two films in the series, which were remakes of Jeethu Joseph's Malayalam originals, the Hindi conclusion features an entirely original storyline. Ajay Devgn noted that the script took two years to develop and offers a completely different experience from the Malayalam third instalment released earlier this year. The Hindi adaptation is directed by Abhishek Pathak and co-written with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, with production led by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Ajit Andhare, and Alok Jain under Panorama Studios and Star Studio18.
Context
Drishyam began as a 2013 Malayalam crime thriller before expanding into multiple language remakes across the country. The franchise centers on an ordinary family man who goes to extreme lengths to protect his family from the police, building a massive following through its suspenseful plot twists.
