Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt praised 21‑year‑old producer Anupriya Nagar for her work on the devotional film Hanuman Ansh. Dutt shared a photo with Nagar on social media and wrote, “I have seen films come and go, and some make history. But what you have achieved for Hanuman Ansh at just 21 is truly remarkable, Anupriya Nagar.” He added that turning a small film into something big takes passion and said he will always stand by her in all future projects. Nagar replied, “Sanjay sir, coming from someone who carries such an extraordinary cinematic legacy, your words mean so much to me. Thank you for your blessings and belief in me.”
Film Details
Anupriya is one of three producers of Hanuman Ansh and invested Rs 60 lakh, joining the team during post‑production after researching Neem Karoli Baba while studying Steve Jobs. The film, written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, was made on a budget of Rs 1.8 crore and has reportedly collected Rs 435.37 crore worldwide. Two more instalments have been announced. Production faced setbacks, including a core‑team reshuffle and a last‑minute lead‑actor change. Several crew members cited personal connections with Neem Karoli Baba. Director Chaturvedi followed a fruit‑only diet and observed a 43‑day Hanuman Chalisa vow; the team began and ended each shooting day by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa.
Context
Hanuman Ansh is a spiritual drama that taps into India’s growing appetite for devotional cinema, where faith‑based storytelling often draws strong audience support and box‑office returns.
