Maserati will detail an electric version of its Levante SUV and a radically restyled Quattroporte at a December briefing. The plan follows a quiet stall at the Paris motor show where the brand left an empty space on the floor. CEO Santo Ficili said the upcoming electric Levante will replace the gasoline model that offered twin‑turbo V6 or V8 engines. The EV is expected to keep the same size as the current Levante and sit above the smaller Grecale Folgore in the company’s electric line‑up. At the same event, Ficili hinted that the Quattroporte, a sedan since the 1960s, will return as a low‑profile, wide‑track vehicle that blends wagon‑like proportions with crossover traits. Stellantis chief Antonio Filosa recently reassured investors that Maserati will stay within the group despite past talk of a possible split. He promised a comprehensive strategy in December that will cover new models and technology upgrades. The brand has faced falling sales, high import duties and an uncertain market outlook, prompting the push for electrified models. The December presentation is meant to signal a fresh direction and give dealers a clearer view of the brand’s future. ## Context Maserati’s shift mirrors a broader industry move toward electric SUVs and more versatile body styles as luxury buyers seek greener options without sacrificing space or performance.
