IBPS releases 2026 Specialist Officer prelim results, scorecards available till Oct 22

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announced the Specialist Officer (SO) XVI preliminary exam results on October 15, 2026. Candidates can view their qualifying status and download scorecards from the official website ibps.in. The download window stays open until October 22, 2026, after which the scorecards will no longer be accessible.

How to Check Result

Visit ibps.in, open the Specialist Officers XVI section under the CRP Specialist Officers tab, and click the result status link for the CRP‑SPL‑XVI preliminary exam. Enter the registration or roll number along with the password or date of birth, then submit to see the result and download the scorecard. Candidates should verify their qualifying status carefully and keep a copy of the scorecard for future reference.

Next Stage

Those who qualify will be allowed to sit for the IBPS SO mains exam scheduled for November 1, 2026. The recruitment cycle, known as CRP‑SPL‑XVI, aims to fill Specialist Officer vacancies across participating banks. Posts include IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari. The mains exam pattern differs by post.

Context

The result marks the first filter in the multi‑stage selection process used by banks to staff specialist roles. Clearing the prelims is mandatory for moving to the mains, which ultimately decides the final appointments.
