Actor Nagarjuna Asks Makers to Stick to Release Dates

Actor Nagarjuna has spoken out about repeated movie release date changes during a press meet held on Friday. The film 'Itlu Arjuna', featuring Anish and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, is directed by Mahesh Uppala and produced by Venky Kudumula. Nagarjuna is personally presenting this film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on October 30.

Release Delays

A journalist asked Nagarjuna if 'Itlu Arjuna' will still come out on October 30, given that another film named 'Aadarsha Kutumbam' has also chosen that date due to big movies arriving. Nagarjuna replied that 'Aadarsha Kutumbam' initially announced an October 2 release, then changed it to October 9, and postponed again citing big films before settling on October 30. He stated that he hopes they actually release on October 30 without further delays.

Nagarjuna on Commitments

Nagarjuna added that nobody blocks dates on purpose and misses them only due to circumstances. However, he shared his own example by stating he announced his arrival for December 24 and has been working day and night to keep that promise. He firmly noted that release dates should not be announced at all if makers cannot stick to them.

Context

Release date clashes and frequent postponements are common in the film industry when producers try to avoid competition from larger, high-budget movies. Actors and presenters often manage these scheduling pressures while trying to maintain audience interest through promotional events and direct media interaction.
