Three men accused of firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai have been arrested in Rajasthan. The shooting took place on Sunday evening when the actor was leaving a club in his car after playing football, though he escaped unhurt.

Investigation and Arrest

After the incident, the three suspects traveled by road from Mumbai to Surat. CCTV footage from the Surat railway station captured them rushing through the station and onto the platform to board the Pune-Jaipur Express, train number 12939. Two of the men wore white shirts while the third wore a blue T-shirt and carried a bag. Police tracked them using this footage and a joint team of the Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police detained them in the general coach when the train reached Kota on Monday morning at around 10:15 am. The suspects planned to flee to Nepal via Delhi.

Suspects and Rapido Link

The police identified the suspects as Rehan, also known as Sukka, an 18-year-old from Sonipat in Haryana, and Ritwik Kurmi, also known as Roshan Fighter, a 22-year-old from Bihar who lives in Andheri West. The third suspect is 18-year-old Phool Singh, though police earlier stated a juvenile's identity was initially involved before clarifying that none of the three are minors. One of the accused works as a driver for the app-based transport platform Rapido. A company spokesperson stated that the individual had not been active as a captain on their platform since October 14, and used Rapido's services only as a customer on the day of the incident. The company added that they are cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation.

Context

High-profile crimes involving celebrities often trigger swift inter-state police coordination and widespread public attention. Railway security networks and closed-circuit television surveillance play a critical role in tracking suspects who attempt to flee the state by train.
