Maruti Suzuki releases prices for new CNG AMT Dzire, Baleno and Swift

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the full ex‑showroom price list for the CNG AMT versions of its Dzire, Baleno and Swift models. The Dzire CNG AMT starts at Rs 8.53 lakh, the Baleno at Rs 8.32 lakh and the Swift at Rs 7.92 lakh. Compared with the manual‑gearbox variants, the Dzire and Swift AMTs carry a Rs 35,000 premium while the Baleno AMT is Rs 40,000 pricier. Against the petrol‑AMT counterparts, the CNG AMTs add Rs 81,000, Rs 79,500 and Rs 82,500 respectively.## Technical Details All three cars use Maruti’s Z12E 1.2‑litre three‑cylinder naturally aspirated engine, delivering 70 hp and 102 Nm in CNG mode. They are fitted with a five‑speed AMT gearbox; suspension, fuel switch and CNG level indicator are also carried over from the manual versions. The claimed mileage improves over the manual models: 36.47 km per kg for the Dzire and Swift, and 34.47 km per kg for the Baleno.## Space Issue Unlike the Victoris and Brezza that have under‑body tanks, the CNG tanks in these three models sit inside the boot together with the spare wheel. This layout leaves virtually no usable boot space, a drawback compared with rivals such as the Tata Tigor, Altroz and Tiago CNG AMTs that use dual‑cylinder tanks and retain some luggage capacity.
