What Happened

Eternal, the Zomato and Blinkit parent, will announce its financial results for the quarter ending 30 September 2026 on Wednesday, 21 October. The stock opened in green on Wednesday, trading 0.45% up at ₹321.60 per share. The share has slipped more than 4% over the past month but risen 24% in the last six months. Since its July 2021 listing, the stock has delivered a 155% total return, qualifying it as a multibagger. Brokerages expect Eternal to grow its food‑delivery and quick‑commerce market share in Q2 FY27, citing better margins, higher order values and ongoing Blinkit store expansion.

Analyst Views

Seema Srivastava, senior research analyst at SMC Global Securities, highlighted Blinkit’s aggressive dark‑store rollout, strong gross order‑value growth and improving operational metrics, while noting that core food delivery remains steady. She urged investors to watch unit economics, dark‑store maturation rates, contribution margins and management commentary on rising competition. Srivastava said the stock’s momentum reflects optimism about long‑term secular tailwinds and new verticals such as Hyperpure and District, but warned that short‑term valuations are rich and call for disciplined entry. "Long‑term investors with high risk tolerance can view minor earnings‑related pullbacks as healthy accumulation opportunities, whereas conservative traders may wait for post‑results clarity on profitability metrics and margin sustainability," she said. Mahesh M Ojha, VP of research at Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities, noted a positive trend on weekly and monthly charts, suggesting bullish momentum. He recommended keeping a positive bias as long as the price stays above ₹308, a level he cites as a stop‑loss, and pointed to upside targets of ₹332, ₹345 and ₹358 or higher.

Context

Quick‑commerce firms like Blinkit rely on dark‑store networks to deliver groceries within minutes, a model that has become central to urban retail in India. Growth in order values and margin improvement are key drivers of investor interest in such companies.
