CEER, the national automotive company of Saudi Arabia, revealed its first electric vehicles on Monday with the debut of the Exobot sedan and SUV. Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, revealed the new models, which support the industrial diversification goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Production will take place at the CEER manufacturing complex, which stands as the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East. These flagship electric vehicles belong to a planned lineup of seven total models that will launch over the next five years, including midsize and compact options. The Exobot sedan measures 5.26 metres long, 2.1 metres wide and 1.43 metres tall, while the SUV measures 5.02 metres long, 2.1 metres wide and 1.69 metres tall. Both share a wide stance, wedge-shaped profile and slim horizontal front lights. Notable design elements include nearly three-metre-long wing doors that open in a 60cm arc, and lightweight forged aluminium wheels with a triangular design. The vehicles also feature a massive laminated glass windscreen with a reflective coating that CEER states can lower cabin temperatures from 65 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius within 10 minutes under high heat. A First Edition variant adds red brake calipers along with Harrat Grey and White Musk paint choices, plus black and red Nappa leather seats with debossed headrests, custom floor mats and a unique plaque. Inside, the cabin features a 48-inch pillar-to-pillar curved 8K dashboard display, a 10.4-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch rear display. The centre console combines digital menus with physical buttons for core controls like gear selection, volume and climate settings. The cars are equipped with steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering. Performance figures show the sedan offers an NEDC range of 670km, 850hp and 1,000Nm of torque, achieving zero to 100 kph in 2.6 seconds. The SUV offers an NEDC range of 560km with the same 850hp and 1,000Nm output, doing zero to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds. Both models charge from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Top specifications boost output to 1,111hp and 1,500Nm, allowing the sedan to reach 100 kph in 2.1 seconds with a top speed of 250 kph, and the SUV to hit 100 kph in 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 kph. Since starting in 2022, CEER has partnered with BMW, Hyundai and Rimac, targeting 45 percent local parts content by 2034. The company has not yet shared details regarding a potential launch or pricing in India.
