Ranbir Kapoor Apologizes For Slip Of Tongue At Ramayana Chennai Event

Star cast and crew of the upcoming film Ramayana gathered in Chennai for a musical promotional event.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravie Dubey, producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, and music composer A R Rahman attended the gathering. A R Rahman performed songs from the movie and entertained the audience.

The Apology

During the event, Ranbir Kapoor addressed a mistake he made the previous day at a Dussehra event in Kolkata. At that event, he made a slip of tongue while speaking about truth and evil, which went viral on social media and caused online trolling. He clarified what he meant to say and apologized for the error, quoting a line from his earlier film Rockstar.

The film Ramayana is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on November 5. In addition, the Chief Minister of West Bengal confirmed that Ramayana: Part 1 will be tax-free in the state.
