Rajinikanth Starrer Jailer 2 Crosses Rs 628 Crore Worldwide Despite Box Office Slowdown

Rajinikanth's action thriller Jailer 2 has crossed the Rs 628 crore mark worldwide, even as its daily box office numbers have slowed down in its second week. After collecting Rs 17.15 crore on Thursday, the film recorded its lowest single-day collection on Friday at Rs 14.50 crore, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. This brings the total India net collection to Rs 348.85 crore and the gross collection to Rs 408.55 crore, while worldwide gross stands at Rs 628.05 crore.

Occupancy Rates

On Friday, the Tamil version recorded an overall theatre occupancy of 34.77 percent, with morning shows at 21.15 percent, afternoon shows at 28.85 percent, evening shows at 38.31 percent, and night shows hitting 50.77 percent. The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 27.35 percent, and the Hindi version saw 17.07 percent.

The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and backed by Sun Pictures. Alongside Rajinikanth, the star-studded cast includes SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, and 13-year-old child star Rithvik.
