Alia Bhatt appears as a retro cabaret dancer in the first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming movie Love and War, released on Friday, September 25. The image shows Alia on a stage wearing a red outfit and a red feathered headdress under many spotlights, creating a style similar to Hindi films from the 1960s and 1970s. Alia posted the picture on social media with the caption Reunited. This is her second project with Bhansali following her lead role in the 2022 movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, which won her a National Award for Best Actress.

Cast and Crew

Makers released the first look of Ranbir Kapoor on Thursday, showing him sitting in a vintage sports car with a bullet wound in his arm. In Love and War, Alia stars alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal. Alia and Vicky previously worked together in Meghna Gulzar's film Raazi, while Alia and Ranbir starred in Ayan Mukerji's 2022 film Brahmastra where they began dating before marrying in April 2022 and having their daughter Raha Kapoor in November. Alia's recent box office history includes 2023's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh, 2024's Jigra, and 2026's Alpha with Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Love and War will release in theatres on January 21, 2027.
